Terms of Service for Smld

Welcome to Smld. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Smld mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Smld is a utility application that utilizes augmented reality (AR) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to detect, extract, and format URLs from physical surfaces via your device's camera.

2. Subscriptions and "Smld PRO"

Smld offers a premium subscription called "Smld PRO" which grants access to increased monthly scan limits and advanced cloud-based OCR features.

• Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at the confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Management & Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase. We cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
• Refunds: All refund requests must be handled directly through Apple or Google, subject to their respective refund policies.

3. User Conduct and Fair Use

By using Smld, you agree NOT to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App or its APIs.
• Exploit vulnerabilities or use automated scripts (bots) to bypass scan limits or abuse promotional codes.
• Use the App for any illegal, unauthorized, or malicious purposes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we detect fraudulent activity, API abuse, or violation of these Terms.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we use advanced Google Cloud Vision technology, we do not warrant that:

• The OCR extraction will be 100% accurate at all times.
• The App will be error-free or completely uninterrupted.
• Every URL detected is safe to visit. You are responsible for verifying the safety of any link before opening it in your browser.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smld, its developers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App.
• Any conduct or content of any third party within the App.
• The accuracy or safety of the URLs extracted by the App.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, compilation, magnetic translation, digital conversion, and other matters related to the App are protected under applicable copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary rights. Smld is a proprietary trademark.

7. Modifications to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the App or any service to which it connects, with or without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. By continuing to access or use the App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
